Monica Van Asperen

Born in Argentina. A multidisciplinary artist (photography, painting and installation) Monica is part of the new generation of creators belonging to the workshop of the famous contemporary artist Guillermo Kuitca. With diverse materials such as balloons or blown glass tubes, she builds art pieces that generate architectural tensions with the air. As for her photographic images, a

somewhat anguishing ambiguity emerges from them. Her apparent joy, due to the color palette, quickly becomes a feeling of oppression. Mónica has exhibited at the Biennial of Art of Buenos Aires, National Museum of Fine Arts, Buenos Aires, Argentina; The inauguration Urban installation in a tunnel, Antorchas Foundation, Buenos Aires, Argentina; Sample installation, Banff Center, Alberta, Canada and Light Gallery in London.
